Agency’s work for Pace Suburban Bus and National Vision honored for impactful storytelling, cultural relevance and standout execution

PITTSBURGH – June 2, 2025 – Gatesman is proud to announce a standout showing from the 2025 American Advertising Federation (AAF) Chicago Addy Awards, bringing home two Gold Addys and one Silver, recognizing creative excellence across purpose-driven campaigns and culturally resonant brand work.

Gatesman earned Gold ADDYs in both the Out-of-Home & Ambient Media and Print Advertising categories for its powerful “Ride Kind” campaign with Pace Suburban Bus. Centered on the message “respect every driver’s side,” the campaign aimed to humanize its drivers by shining a light on who they are outside the bus, and remind riders that when everyone Rides Kind, everyone can get to their destination safely.

Through compelling storytelling and evocative visuals, Gatesman transformed buses and digital platforms into channels of empathy. Dozens of operator interviews unearthed stories of veterans, parents and artists behind the wheel, forging emotional connections with passengers and reinforcing Pace’s commitment to safety and respect on the road.

In the Sales and Marketing – Packaging category, Gatesman secured a Silver ADDY for its work promoting the “Official by Vontélle” eyewear launch with National Vision. A collaboration between National Vision and Black-women-owned brand Vontélle, this vibrant collection debuted in over 900 America’s Best locations during Black History Month.

In addition to paid media and organic social storytelling, the campaign leveraged influencers to spotlight the culturally rich designs and the inspiring founders behind them. The influencer packaging brought the striking color palette of the collection into their homes, helping them share it with their followers and fueling one of the most successful product launches in America’s Best history.
