PITTSBURGH – JANUARY 30, 2024 – Gatesman is proud to announce its 2023 Rising Star and Plus it Up Award recipients, who were recognized at the agency’s all employee meeting earlier this month. Both awards celebrate the outstanding contributions of Gatesman employees, particularly those who have gone above and beyond in living out the agency’s values.

Brady Warmbein, account executive on the public relations and social media team, was presented with the 2023 Rising Star Award. This award recognizes an under 30 team member with less than three years of agency experience, who stands out among their peers as an individual raising the bar of excellence as they move forward in their career. Recognized for positive attitude, coachability and exemplary display of Gatesman values, the Rising Star is someone who demonstrates ambition, talent and high-growth potential, but more importantly they’ve already made considerable contributions and a significant impact on the agency.

Since joining the team in 2022, Brady has exemplified Gatesman’s values and shown up for his team and clients with unwavering passion each and every day.

“Brady has been a tremendous contributor to organic growth, new business development and award-winning work,” said Beth Thompson, VP, director of public relations and social media.  “His impact can be felt not only within the PR team, but across all departments, contributing to the overall success of the agency. He operates beyond his years of experience and is an outstanding team player that the agency is very fortunate to have.”

Mary Chain, senior business manager, was presented with the Plus it Up Award in recognition of her immeasurable impact across agency-wide operations. The Plus it Up Award recognizes a team member with four or more years of industry experience who embodies progress and imagination, and who stands out as a leader whether through their primary role or extracurricular activities. The Plus it Up Award recipient celebrates the agency’s MVP –  someone who goes above and beyond for their clients, their coworkers and the agency.

“While Mary has been with us for only two short years, her impact on our agency teams, clients, and operations in this relatively short period of time has been dramatic,” said Jason Haag, VP, chief financial officer. “Mary has a mindset that ‘there’s got to be a better way’ and proactively brings ideas and solutions to the table to improve internal processes. With many years of experience in our industry, she is the ‘go-to’ resource for many of the operational challenges that our teams encounter on a daily basis, and does it all with a positive attitude and willingness to help.”

Upon joining Gatesman, Mary quickly took action to streamline the agency’s billing process across departments, significantly shortening the monthly closing process. Her positive attitude and attention to detail have significantly enhanced the agency’s approach to internal operations, providing all team members with visibility into both client and agency updates.
