Gatesman is proud to celebrate Aleya Crable Jennings, who was named a member of The Incline’s Who’s Next: Communicators class.

Each month, The Incline asks Pittsburghers to nominate the best and brightest under-40 professionals in differing fields. The editorial staff chooses winners and celebrates the individuals at a party thrown in their honor. Jennings is a five-year veteran of Gatesman and leads several accounts. She was selected among the class of 18 influential Pittsburghers who are “shaping the city’s advertising, marketing and public relations scenes.”

“It’s an honor to be recognized among this group of outstanding local professionals who are helping our industry and our city continue to grow and shine,” said Jennings, AVP, group account director. “I’m proud to be considered a strong part of the future of this industry, and I am excited to showcase what’s next for the Gatesman team and our clients.”

In 2015, Jennings founded Gatesman’s Diversity and Inclusion Caucus, a group of 15 agency employees of various backgrounds, which she continues to lead. Most recently, in addition to the work for her day-to-day accounts, she played a pivotal role developing a campaign for the Pittsburgh Downtown Partnership to entice companies to open offices in downtown Pittsburgh titled, “Everything Points You Here.”

“We are lucky to have someone as thoughtful, intentional and relentless in their pursuit of excellence as Aleya on our team,” said Shannon Baker, president, Gatesman. “She is very deserving of this recognition, and we continue to be impressed with her dedication to the agency, our clients and the Pittsburgh community.”

Jennings is actively involved in Strong Women, Strong Girls, the Pittsburgh Women’s Alliance, Morning Star Baptist Church, and the Pittsburgh chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. In addition to earning the 2018 Strong Award from Strong Women, Strong Girls, Jennings was awarded the 2018 Barbara McNees Spirit of ATHENA Scholarship for the Leadership and Negotiation Academy for Women. The six-month program, which wrapped up in February, is organized by the Tepper School of Business at Carnegie Mellon University.
