Three Gatesman professionals will help shape the future of Pittsburgh's advertising community through board leadership, mentorship and industry advocacy.

PITTSBURGH – July 7, 2026 – Three Gatesman team members have been appointed to leadership positions within the Pittsburgh chapter of the American Advertising Federation (AAF), the region's cross-disciplinary community for people shaping the future of advertising, marketing, media, design and creativity, and Ad 2 Pittsburgh, AAF Pittsburgh's network of young professionals aged 32 or younger. The appointments reflect Gatesman's ongoing investment in developing leaders who contribute to both the agency and the broader communications industry.

After proving success as AAF Pittsburgh’s communication chairperson, Kelly Currie, associate media director, has been named vice president of the organization, where she will help guide the chapter's strategic direction, support board leadership and member engagement and strengthen opportunities for professional development across Pittsburgh's advertising community. Her new role will also allow her to help shape programming, foster collaboration among industry professionals and invest in the next generation of marketing and communications leaders.

Kayla Plunkett, copywriter, has been elected vice president of Ad 2 Pittsburgh, after demonstrating impact in her previous role as Ad 2 Pittsburgh’s communication chairperson. As vice president, she will help shape the organization's strategic initiatives, collaborate with fellow board members to advance member programming and create opportunities for young professionals to grow, connect and become more engaged within Pittsburgh's advertising community.

Paige Rhine, assistant account executive of PR & social media, has also joined the Ad 2 Pittsburgh board as public relations chairperson. In this role, she will lead the organization's communications strategy, oversee media relations and social media efforts, and help increase awareness of Ad 2 Pittsburgh's programming, events and community impact while strengthening engagement among the region's emerging advertising and marketing professionals.

“Our people make themselves and our agency stronger when they engage outside of our day-to-day teams and within the professional community,” said Shannon Baker, president, Gatesman. “We’re proud to see these three women in leadership roles contributing their talents to organizations that help shape and strengthen Pittsburgh's advertising, creative and marketing industry.”
